Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium Bengali: (শেখ আবু নাসের স্টেডিয়াম) is a test cricket venue in Khulna Division of Bangladesh. It is before known as Bir Shrestha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium. The stadium holds fifty thousand people. It has opened in 2004. It has a field dimension of 183 meter long and 137 meter wide. It is the home stadium of the local BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) permit Khulna Titans.
The Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium was one of the five purpose built cricket grounds. It was established in the run up to the Under-19 World Cup in 2004. It was lastly granted one day international position in January 2006. On that time Sri Lanka national team made tour here. Khulna became the seventh test venues in this country. It hosted the second Test between Bangladesh and West Indies from 21st November in 2012.
The ground crowded its first Test match from 21st to 25th November of 2012. Bangladesh played against the West Indies in this tournament. In the entrance test of this venue Bangladesh lost to West Indies by 10 wickets. The first ODI between Bangladesh and Kenya took place on 20th March in 2006. The stadium crowded only its single T20I between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe on 28th November in 2006. Till 22nd January the venue will host three test matches, four ODI matches and five T20I matches.
Khulna hosted matches of the Bangladesh Premier League for the first time. It was making it the third venue of the contest. Eight matches were played here from 22nd January to 25th January in 2013. Home team Khulna Royal Bengals played three matches.
