Buddha Purnima is celebrated in according to the Buddha’s Birthday.It is a holiday habitually notable in Mahayana Buddhism to honor the birth of the Prince Siddhartha Gautama. It falls on a full moon Uposatha day, normally in the 5th or 6th astral month. The date differs from year to year. But usually it falls in April or May.
