Facebook office in Bangladesh

Now a day’s Facebook become most popular social network service in the World. It’s headquarter establish in Menlo Park, California.  Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook website on 4^th February, 2004. Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook to communicate with his roommates. But today it becomes most popular social media.

Facebook lunch their regional office in many countries. Our neighbor country in India has Facebook regional office. But at this time there is no Facebook office in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) invited Facebook to open Facebook regional office in Bangladesh. They also offer Facebook authorities to introduce its in Bangla and make it education friendly so that user of Bangladesh can get help from it.

On 17^th may, 2015 Facebook head of policy Lisa Foster invited the officials of BASIS and BCS to visit Facebook headquarter at Menlo Park in California. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak and the officials of BASIS and BCS visit IT hub of the USA.

Basis president Shamim Ahsan and BCS president Mahfuzul Arif, BASIS secretary General Rassel T Ahmed, BCS director Ali Ashfaq, Dhaka chamber former president Md Sabur Khan and Daffodil group chairman also called on Lisa Foster.

The ICT minister Zuniad Ahmed Palak said, In Bangladesh online payment gateway will be open if Facebook started their work officially in Bangladesh. He also said that, now there are more than 1 crore active Facebook user in Bangladesh and the will reach 10 crore before 2021.

We hope in a short days we can see a Facebook regional office in Bangladesh.
