Bangla is mother tongue of Bangladesh. There are no countries in the world that fight for their mother tongue. Bangladesh is that country who fights for his mother tongue. Now Bangla is International Language. There are above 189,000,000 people who talk in Bangla. Bangla is 4th language by population.
The government of Bangladesh will add 400,000 new Bangla words in Google Translate on the Independence Day. The Information and Communication Technology ministry Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, we are going to create a new world record. There are no countries in the world who add these huge words in to the Google Translate in a single day. This record will create on the Independence Day. Zunaid Ahmed Palak also said on a press conference to fulfill the target join all Bangla speaking people who living around the world in this day.
The Information and Communication Technology ministry Zunaid Ahmed Palak said 65,000 bangla words were added to Google Translate on 21th February 2015, this is second height first height Spanish on that day.
The General Secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network’s Munir Hossain sain anyone could add new Bangla words on Google Translate by going to htpp://translate.google.community. Google Translate supports 90 languages and Google provide this service free.
Information and Communication Technology ministry Zunaid Ahmed Palak said about 4000 people will directly work from more than 50 points in Bangladesh to add new Bangla words on the Google Translate. Volunteers will also join this effort from Australia, US, UK, Portugal and other countries.
To fulfill this effort the Bangladesh Computer Council will provide 120 computers with high-speed connections. Those who interested to join this effort they can registered themselves. High Speed WiFi internet services will provide at Dhaka University’s TSC.
The ICT ministry Zunaid Ahmed Palak said anyone who adds 1,000 Bangla new words in to the Google Translate he/she can get an electronic certificate form Google. And who add maximum number of Bangla new words in to the Google Translate between 21th February, 2015 to 14th April 14, 2015 Google will take the person to visit Google Singapore office for three days study tour.
